Replenishment Planning for Regularly Used Products: What Information Do You Need?
Good filling is not waiting for the product to close, then order, but it should be used real movement data together with Lead Time and mode of use. To make the product available without exaggerating the need.
1. Find a reliable balance sheet
If Stock Balance is not accurate, the filling plan is wrong from the beginning. There should be a consistent receipt, payment and updating system.
2. View the application format. Not to see this day alone.
Some products are used permanently. While some have peak by season, campaign or activity. The analysis of the usage pattern makes the round forecast more fit.
3. Put the Lead Time of Supply/Production into the Complex.
Custom or MOQ-produced goods take more time than the goods are delivered. The reorder point placement takes into account the delivery time. Not only the minimum amount in the warehouse.
4. Separate Critical Item with Non-critical Item
The unnecessary should have a buffer or a more intense track plan of the product that can be produced as soon as possible. To use funds and storage spaces properly.
5. Connect Procurement with Inventory
The purchasing team should see the information that which report is close to the full point. The stock team should know the lead time and MOQ limits of each product. Collaboration reduces both the stock-out and the overstock.
6. Review Plan is a Circle
