Corporate Gift Strategy: The Right Gift for the Right Person and Occasion

The good premium is not necessarily the most expensive but must be “the most perfect” with the people who get and the context that they give. Many organizations start with the question “What’s good this year?” And the more useful question is “How we want the recipient to feel and what’s the piece to work for the brand.”

Starting with the recipient group division.

VIP customers, employees, partners, dealers and Event collaborators have different expectations. The one group may not fit the other group. For example, the VIP can emphasize accuracy and presentation. The one for staff can emphasize real use and allocation/size to complete.

Set the objective prior to selecting the product

Corporate gifts may express thanks, build brand recall, celebrate milestones, welcome new employees, launch products or support employee engagement. Different purposes call for different product directions, branding and packaging.

Think of real use

The goods that users often have the chance to serve a brand communication longer, but “functionable” does not mean they must always be common. The important thing is to choose the Lifestyle of the target group such as Desk Item, Travel Item, Drinkware, Tech Accessory, Apparel or Gift Set.

Branding should have an appropriate level.

Big logos are not always the answer. For VIP Gift, using subtle logos or putting Branding through Packaging may look more premium. While Event Giveaway may require a clearer Visibility because the purpose is Brand Awareness.

Packaging Changes Perceived Value

The same product when placed in a good design packaging can give a very different feeling. Both colors, materials, layouts, text cards and box opening experience should be considered to be related to the brand image.

Do not forget about Timeline and Delivery.

Some ideas are very good but not suitable for the time. If you need to produce Custom, make sample, adjust Artwork and send multiple destinations. It should be placed Timeline from the actual day of use always. To ensure there is a buffer for approval and QC.
