Supplier Comparison Matrix: Comparing More Than Price

Choosing Supplier from the lowest price alone can make the actual cost of the project higher. If you have to then dissolve the product, shift or change the middle-way Supplier.

1. Specification Fit

Start by checking whether each Supplier understands the Requirement and whether the product, material or process that meets the requirements are complete.

2. Sample & Quality

The sample allows you to see the difference in material, composition, color branding and smoothness before making a real production decision. Specifically, the product needs custom.

3. Lead Time and Production Availability

It should be viewed both sample time, production time and capacity to support the volume according to the project Timeline. Not only see the date Supplier indicates that it is completed.

4. Commercial Terms

MOQ price, payment conditions, packaging and what is included/not included in the price. It should be compared on the same basis before summarizing.

5. Risk & Communication

Clearness in answering questions, management when spacecraft and ability to notify problems in advance are key factors. Because the corporate projects need multi-party coordination and have a clear deadline.

6. Make the Matrix meet the project requirements.

The weight of each factor is not required to be equal. Work at deadline may give weight high lead time. While VIP Gift work may give weight more finish and packaging.
