Multi-Location Distribution: Planning Stock, Picking, Packing and Branch Deliveries

Delivery to multiple branches or multiple recipients is not just a matter of transportation. Because before the dispatch step, it requires accurate information, package and picking/packing process that reduces the most errors available.

1. Starting from the Master Data of the Destination

Specify branch details, recipients, addresses, quantities and special conditions in a verifiable format so the warehouse and delivery teams use the same information.

2. Check stock before opening the shipping cycle.

Should you know that the product is enough for every destination? If there is a lack of item, it is necessary to specify how to order or coordinate Replenishment before starting Picking.

3. Design Picking fit to the number of SKU and Order.

Projects with a few but very targets may use different ways than projects with multiple SKUs and multiple product sets. The placement of the crawling order is suitable for work, reduces the crawling errors and reduces the working time.

4. Packing and Labeling Clear

The box or set of products should be clearly indicated the destination and the required details. If there are multiple Campaigns or multiple groups of recipients, it should be separated how the package can be checked before closing the box.

5. Connect Dispatch with Stock Update

After the product is out of the warehouse, the Inventory bar should be updated according to the actual list. To make the balance sheet and the next cycle plan unmoving.

6. Preparing to handle the case of data change.

Recipient lists, addresses or numbers may change by sending time. Cut-off and canals to approve data change should be defined to reduce the impact on packaging and dispatch.
